Problem

Women in Mumbai have limited access to women auto drivers, while women drivers face low visibility and social barriers in the profession. The gap affects both women’s safety and women drivers’ opportunities to participate in the city’s mobility system.

Process

I combined primary and secondary research by speaking with real users and auto drivers, running surveys, and studying existing mobility platforms. These insights helped uncover key pain points around safety, trust, visibility and accessibility, which then informed the user journey, feature prioritisation, user flows, wireframes and final prototype

Solution

Raahi brings together verified drivers, scheduled rides, emergency support and multilingual access to create a safer, more reliable mobility experience while improving visibility for women auto drivers.

Learnings

This project taught me to design beyond features and think about the larger system around a product, balancing the needs of both passengers and drivers.
